Timber Decks

A timber deck is one of the most striking additions to any home. It creates a warm, natural space that blends seamlessly with the outdoors - perfect for entertaining or relaxing.With the right care, a deck can remain a stunning feature for many years. Exposure to sun, rain, and foot traffic can cause fading, staining, and gradual wear. Routine cleaning helps prevent dirt and mould buildup, while applying decking oils or stains restores colour and protects the wood from harsh weather.For the Sydney climate I recomend an annual clean and stain. For decks that have not been re-stained in years, a pressure wash might be the first option before an acid wash and stain.Over time, individual boards may become damaged, warped, or split. Replacing worn boards as needed ensures safety and maintains the deck’s overall presentation. Proper upkeep prevents minor issues from turning into costly repairs down the track.
